We built Dirt Road Camp based on our years of exploring, by learning the pros and cons of other campgrounds. We are focused on creating a place that is truly unique. We have only begun, so we welcome those eager to test yourself and create new experiences where few have dared try.
We encourage you to reach out to us by phone at (607) 287-8148 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions you might have.
You won't have other campers only a few feet away, no RV generators running all night (sorry but we won't allow ANY RVs for some time). Pets are very welcome, just clean-up after them, and we offer free firewood and limited ice in a pinch. The stunning views and rare chance to be in the "deep woods" are all gratis!
WHAT TO EXPECT
We promise our guests at least an acre (or 3) to yourself. Yes, you read that right, we don’t stack outdoors explorers on top of each other.
All of our sites come equipped with spacious areas for pitching a tent and embracing the Earth. By providing firewood we not only take a task off your list, but it's a good way to avoid invasive beetles and other issues. Focus on packing for fun and adventure! Expect a sweet fire pit with a wagon-train tripod grill to cook something delicious.
As a bonus, cell phone signals are strong on our land (a rarity in the western Catskills). We can't broadcast wi-fi over our mountain and many acres, so the strong cellular signal means you can bring a speaker for music or your favorite movies to stream. Recharging is available via our solar stations and super cool USB battery charging contraptions.
Our outhouses are clean, sanitary and environmentally responsible, and you will find divinity while taking a warm outdoors shower using harvested rain water that is fully filtered.
We want you to make your site your own, respect it and, please, offer us feedback on how to make the Dirt Road Camp experience even better!
We fully realize that Dirt Road Camp isn’t for everyone. We apologize that our rough terrain and rustic sites cannot serve those with handicaps or disabilities. First Aid kits are on-site, on purpose, and basic survival skills are required.
To aid in giving others the necessary skills, Dirt Road Camp will be offering regular survival training sessions on-site, RSVPs required.
You’ll be hiking, playing and camping in the real Catskills woods, so come ready and ever cognizant that your actions may create risk of injury.
Be responsible, respectful of our land, nature and abundant wildlife. Know that your pet is welcome here (just pick-up after them, please) and so are you!
Bring your hiking boots, imagination, and desire to fully escape!
